Although many strategic online profit strategies are dedicated to backlink building, "dofollow" forums will produce respectable results in a relatively short period of time if you are able to determine which forums are "dofollow" links.
The easiest way to check for forum "dofollow" links is to use your web browser.
Using your browser toolbar, click on "View" and then "Page Source" to open the HTML page coding.
Click "Edit" in the menu and "Find" to open the search box. Then just type in "nofollow" to determine if it appears inside a post or in the forum signature.
If it appears, move on to the next forum and check their web page.
Another way to check for "dofollow" links is to copy a link in a forum signature or in a post and check for a rel="nofollow" tag within the link code.
Do this by pasting the link into the "Find" search box.
Another way is to copy the link in a post or a forum signature link and paste it inside the “Find” search box.
The link code will be highlighted and you can easily check if there is a rel=”nofollow” tag within the link code.
If you are running the Firefox web browser, there are a couple of extensions that you can install to make the job of finding "dofollow" links much easier.
Click on "Tools" in your browser bar and then "Get Add-ons" to open the search box and type in "SearchStatus".
SearchStatus is an add-on that will display Google PageRank, Alexa rank, and SEOmoz Linkscape mozrank anywhere in your browser. It also provides webmasters with a fast keyword density analyzer, backlinks, keyword "nofollow" highlighting, Alexa information and more.
Once installed, a blue icon will be placed at the bottom of your browser. When you right click on the icon, a dropdown menu appears with everything available to you including a "Highlight Nofollow Links" that you should check to see if the forum you are analyzing is "nofollow" or "dofollow".
NoDoFollow is another much simpler extension that highlights links in the page your are looking at, according to "nofollow" or "dofollow" status.
Use the same procedure to find the add-on and install it in your browser.
Both extensions will show you the "dofollow" or "nofollow" status of links on any web page.
Strategic online profit strategies using forums for building backlinks work noticibly better with dofollow backlinks from forums with a high pagerank.
Even though there may be many thousands of outbound links from a forum with a high pagerank that dilutes the PR juice; you can still get a better PR from "dofollow" froum backlinks, than you will get from "nofollow" links.
